Home Gym Wall Storage: Which Rack Fits Your Gear
Short answer: match the rack to the gear. Bands, belts, ropes and chains fit the 8-hook rack, which also hangs one barbell upright. For a barbell next to a full load of gear, take the 12-hook rack. Hex dumbbells from 2 to 35 lb go on the Dumbbells Rack, and baseball or softball bats on the Bat Rack.
All four racks are 3 mm solid steel with screw holes 16 in apart, so they line up with standard wall studs. Each one ships with mounting hardware and 2 carabiners.

Who each one is for
Bands, belts and ropes. The Gym Rack Organizer – 8 Hooks is 17 in wide with 8 hooks, each 6.8 in long and angled up at the tip, so gear stays on. It takes resistance bands, belts, chains, ropes, gym bags and weight vests, and can hang one barbell upright.
A barbell and more gear. The Gym Rack Organizer – 12 Hooks is 25.6 in wide. That leaves room for a barbell next to belts, chains and bands.
Dumbbells off the floor. The Dumbbells Rack has 6 slots, each 1.96 in wide, for hex dumbbells from 2 to 35 lb. At 23.6 in wide it also holds a barbell. Dumbbells are not included.
Baseball and softball. The Bat Rack holds up to 14 bats on 8 angled hooks, with room for gloves and gear bags. Clip the 2 carabiners through its mounting holes and it also hangs on a chain-link fence.
How to mount them
- Stud walls. Every rack has screw holes 16 in apart, the usual stud spacing. Screw into the studs.
- Concrete or brick. Use the included anchors. The hook racks are rated 150 lb (68 kg) on concrete or brick against 100 lb (45 kg) on drywall.
- In the box. Screws, washers, anchors, 2 carabiners and an installation manual. The 8-hook and Bat Rack use 2 screws; the 12-hook and Dumbbells Rack use 4.
All four racks are powder-coated.
